Description
Pachycerianthus fimbriatus is a tube anemone that burrows in substrate and lives in a semi-rigid tube made of stinging cells. The anemone is often seen in bright orange to red and pink. These stinging cells are not toxic to humans. When attacked they are able to withdraw their body back into the tube for protection. When tentacles are damaged they tend to rejuvenate quickly. Tube Anemones feeds on small crustaceans.
