Artist's Description

It is not uncommon to see the Hawksbill anchored off the shore of Santa Cruz.

The USCGC Hawksbill (WPB 87312) was put into service shortly after she arrived to be homeported in Monterey. The Hawksbill's missions include maritime homeland security, search and rescue, maritime law enforcement and public affairs. The Cutter was adopted by the NLUS Monterey Peninsula Council on March 10, 2000.

Note: I apologize if this comes across with a lower case S in the U.S, portion of the title. It is typed in with a capital S, but for some reason it reverts to a lower case S on this page. I have re-entered it a few times with the same result. No disrespect is meant in any way.
